Elsa, my Mom was on Dialysis from the age of 87 years old to nearly 94 years old. Unforturnately, she was not a candidate for a kidney transplant. She loved life and had a strong faith and love for God. When most people would fall asleep praying the rosary in bed, she did not and prayed for everyone living and dead.
She never missed a day of dialysis. As her caregiver, I encouraged her to eat those foods that she could have as a dialysis patient and gave her the required meds. Keep praying for a transplant. As Padre Pio said: Pray, Hope and Don’t Worry. Be encouraged! Praying for you too!
